Playing catch-up: Brenda's Wedding

We went to Colorado again the weekend of July 20 for Aunt Brenda's wedding reception. She is Kyle's aunt and such an amazing woman. I am so happy she and Al are together forever! Before I get too carried away with wedding stuff, I have to announce that I ACTUALLY TRAVELED BY PLANE! That is right, I went on my very first plane ride ever. Granted it was only an hour to Denver, but who cares? I flew and that's all that matters. Here's a crappy picture from the plane ride just to prove it.

When we arrived in Denver, Grandpa and Grandma Garcia picked us up from the airport and we went straight to downtown Denver. We went to the Dugout Store in the 16th street mall and picked up a few shirts, hats, and knick-knacks. After all of the shopping, we went to the Rockies vs. Braves game.

Us walking to the game.

Me and Kevin being dorks.

Mike being...Mike :)

After the game we drove to Pueblo and I saw this :)
Largest rainbow I have ever seen!

We spent the rest of the weekend putting everything together for the reception and hanging out in bars. Literally. Every time we go to eat, we end up in a bar.

And finally, the wedding reception. Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures and those that I do have are of the centerpieces and things like that. Nothing fancy. I will have to get the other pictures from my father-in-law.

I am so fabulously happy for Al and Brenda! Congratulations to them!

Playing catch-up: 4th of July, 2011

I didn't have the chance to write much over the summer. So this may be more for my benefit than for anyone who is reading.

This year was my turn to work on July 4. Because of that, we couldn't camp with the rest of my family. It turns out that we had a pretty great holiday anyway! Kyle got us tickets to Stadium of Fire. I had never been before and Brad Paisley was the entertainment, along with David Archuleta but no one cares about that because of BRAD FREAKING PAISLEY! He is one of my all-time-favorite country artists.

We were super far away but the concert was still really fun!

So grateful that my sister and her boyfriend could join us!

Aren't they just cute?

I look up to her so much. She is an incredible friend.

I love this goof.

This picture was prior to the fat lady who sat on Kyle while walking down the stairs.

Stadium of Fire was on Saturday, July 2nd and not actually on Monday, July 4th this year. So after work on Monday we went up to the Salt Lake Country Club with Kyle's family to watch the fireworks. It was incredible! We sat on the driving range grass, right under where they were lighting the fireworks. It was secluded to only our family because Kevin and Mike were on water duty and Steve is the superintendent. We didn't have to deal with any members. The fireworks were so loud and in-your-face! I will never forget it. Unfortunately I didn't capture any pictures of that night :(
